CAR PICK UP SERVICE

Would you like to use shopmobility but find transport a problem?

Don’t worry, we’ll come to you!

Our new car service can pick you up from home and bring you in to either of our Neath or Port Talbot shops and take you home afterwards at a time that suits you.

The pick up and return service operates within the whole of the Neath Port Talbot County boundary only, and there is a small charge for the service which helps to cover the vehicle running costs.

Set up in 1997, Neath Port Talbot Shopmobility Ltd is a Registered Charity Number 1068667 and a Company Limited by Guarantee Registered in Wales Number 03445091.

Our objective is to assist people with mobility impairments, whether temporary or permanent to access the shopping centres and locality within the towns of Neath and Port Talbot. We are a “not for profit” organisation and all of our funding goes towards providing services for our users.

We are a key strategic partner working closely with Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council who provide part of our funding by way of an annual core-grant towards our running costs. The remainder of our costs are funded by the income generated from hire charges for the use of our equipment. We also sell radar keys.

We have two shops, one in Neath Town Centre which has five dedicated parking spaces close to the shop (normal car-park charges apply) and the other in the Aberavon Shopping Centre in Port Talbot which has a dedicated drop-off/pick-up point at ground level in the multi-storey car park close by. We can also assist by bringing equipment to your car where necessary.

Anyone who has a mobility impairment can use our services, but you must first register with us before you can use our equipment.
